NestMinder is a home and asset maintenance tracker designed to help you manage your household, vehicles, appliances, and important documents. Your privacy matters to us.

The short version: NestMinder stores all your data locally on your device. We have no servers. We collect nothing. Nothing you enter ever leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself.

This Privacy Policy explains what information NestMinder uses, how it is stored, and what is never collected or shared. By using NestMinder, you agree to this policy.

NestMinder stores only the data you explicitly enter into the app. This includes:

• Asset information — names, categories, make, model, year, and custom field values
• Maintenance tasks — titles, due dates, recurrence schedules, priorities, and notes
• Task completion history — dates completed, costs, mileage, service provider details, and notes
• Attachments — photos, receipts, and documents you add to tasks or assets
• Important dates — birthdays, anniversaries, renewals, and other personal milestones
• Service providers — names, contact details, and specialties you enter manually
• Spending budgets and actual costs you record
• App preferences — currency selection, notification settings, and asset category customisations

All of this data is created entirely by you and stored only on your device.

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and your device's local file system. Attachments (photos, receipts, documents) are saved to your device's private app documents directory.

NestMinder has no servers, no cloud infrastructure, and no backend services. We cannot access your data. We have no way to retrieve it even if asked.

If you use the Backup & Restore feature, NestMinder creates an encrypted .nmbackup file on your device. You choose where to save it — iCloud Drive, Files, AirDrop, email, or any other destination you select. NestMinder does not upload, transmit, or store the backup on any server operated by QUADN Systems LLC.

NestMinder does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

NestMinder makes no network requests of any kind during normal operation. The app has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no remote logging, and no telemetry.

The only network activity associated with NestMinder is the in-app purchase transaction (NestMinder Pro), which is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework through the App Store. QUADN Systems LLC does not receive, process, or store any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all purchase transactions.

NestMinder may request the following device permissions:

You can grant or revoke any permission at any time from your device's Settings → NestMinder. Revoking a permission does not delete any previously saved data.

NestMinder uses AES-256-GCM encryption via Apple's CryptoKit framework to protect exported backup files. This is a standard, internationally recognised algorithm (NIST FIPS 197). The encryption key is derived internally within the application and is not stored, transmitted, or accessible outside the app.

Your device's operating system also applies its own file-level encryption (Apple Data Protection) to all app data stored locally when the device is locked.

NestMinder does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data processing services. The only third-party relationship involved in the use of NestMinder is:

• Apple Inc. — Apple provides the App Store distribution platform, the StoreKit in-app purchase framework, and the device operating system. Apple's data practices are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

QUADN Systems LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party under any circumstances. We have no data to share — all information remains on your device.

If you choose to share task details or attachments using the built-in Share function, you are in full control of what is shared and with whom. NestMinder passes the selected content to the iOS system share sheet; the app has no visibility into where or to whom you share it.

Your data exists only on your device. You can delete individual records (tasks, assets, attachments, dates) from within the app at any time.

To delete all NestMinder data, delete the app from your device. This permanently removes all stored data, local files, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.

QUADN Systems LLC holds no copy of your data and cannot recover it after deletion.

NestMinder is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used NestMinder, please delete the app from that device. As no data is transmitted to us, no further action is required on our part.

Because NestMinder does not collect or transmit personal data, most data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) that govern server-held data do not apply in the traditional sense. However, you retain full control over your data at all times:

• Right to access — all your data is visible in the app at all times
• Right to correction — edit any record directly within the app
• Right to deletion — delete any record or the entire app to remove all data
• Right to portability — use Backup & Restore (Pro) or Export Data (Pro) to extract your data

QUADN Systems LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. The updated policy will also be available within the NestMinder app under Settings → Privacy Policy.

Continued use of NestMinder after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
